Reminisce Dev Log #1

Here is the very first prototype of my game 'Reminisce'.  After some feedback from my initial proposal of my game. I went about this whole prototype by trying to make the game as simple as I can but still being interesting. That being said, there aren't that many mechanics that can be seen within the video/screenshots thus far. There's a simple 'Interact' and 'Clean area' button for the player to use. This was something that I had wanted to incorporate from my initial proposal. The only new addition is the 'Reminisce' mechanic that is shown. This was taken from the idea I had to play a cutscene after you clean one of the areas within the house. But I thought that this was a bit weird in my opinion. So I went on and split the two up into their own respective things. I feel like now, this gives the player some freedom to look around the house without having to sit in one area for too long. I did 'Greybox' prototyping along with some 'Rapid' prototyping with my game. My main focus, in the beginning, was to get the mechanics of the game down as quickly as possible while working to make it a bit better over time. After I got the mechanics down for the game. I started working on the house itself as that is a pretty key part of the game as well. For now, I figured just a simple 1 story house would suffice with the interior and exterior modeled for a simple prototype. Of course, none of this is finished but it gives you a nice idea of what the game is going to look like. Now it's just the smaller things missing. Like the interior design of the house and exterior along with some textures and stuff like that to make it all look real nice. I'm also missing some lighting/ambience in the scene but that is not my main focus at the moment. I'm looking to have the core of my game down before I feel comfortable moving on.
